Projektbeskrivning:
We are using zebrafish as a model system to study vertebrate brain development, as this model organism offers favorable features for embryological as well as genetic studies. Zebrafish embryos are transparent and develop in the water outside their mother, so that they can be easily collected and studied. The transparency and rapid development of the embryos allow, to observe microscopically detailed aspects of tissue and organ formation in a living vertebrate organism within a relatively short time frame. Depending on current research in the laboratory an introduction into different aspects of our zebrafish research is possible.

Kort presentation:
I work as a lecturer (lektor) in developmental biology. My research is focused on the study of specific parts of the forebrain that are important for regulation of the hormonal homeostasis of the vertebrate body.
